Growing pains

As I truck on, continue to conduct interviews, and learn more and more each day that I am garbage at editing (for now), I’m learning that there is more to this than originally anticipated. And, honestly, I anticipated a lot.

The things I couldn’t anticipate for, though, have turned into true road blocks.

I had the opportunity to try out a new podcasting platform after some unhappiness surrounding my experience with Podbean and I’m running into some lingering issues with the move (like the missing Episode 1), so bear with me! I’m holding off on releasing Episode 6 for another week while I get everything sorted out!

Streaming. I was over here making allllll these promises about streaming and a schedule and consistency and here we are! I promise that it is still coming, but the issue at the moment has to do with my home. It turns out my current place of residence (a cozy little rental because who needs a house?) is riddled with RG-59 cables and I haven’t been receiving anywhere close to the internet speeds I’ve been paying for years, so at the moment I can’t stream. I’m working out a solution and hope to be streaming regularly soon!

VLOGS. The third piece to my puzzle. The piece that brings out my inexperience and my insecurities on camera. Everything I shoot, I hate. I’m sorry. I’ve been working on a 2018 vlog for???? weeks???? and I hate it all. Give me some time and I promise I’ll have some stuff out soon! I’ve gotten into the habit of recording my gameplay so I may start uploading some play-through videos.

So, thank you to everyone who has dealt with the many challenges I’ve faced in the last couple of months since launch! I’ve had so much great feedback and I’m happy so many people have enjoyed the first five episodes of the show so far.

  1. I’ve been writing longer than you have been alive and I still suck at editing. Don’t worry. Just wrote. Let go and let flow and it won’t be all good, it all be ok, but that’s what writers do we write. Keep trucking

And i’m Probably not that much older than you. I started writing as a baby and just stuck with it. Or it stuck with me idk how things work

  2. It takes time to find voice. You don’t have it yet. I said yet, hope you don’t get offended. Your writing has to speak to who you are, that’s what voice is. Voice happens when I know you by reading your words.
